I got my first 3d printer and I did my first print, which was successful. I printed this thing
(not my picture, but mine looks identical)
It took 38 minutes to print this small thing. I think you can print faster but at the cost of accuracy.

It’s really cool. When I first looked at the printer doing its thing and moving all the mechanical parts to print a 3d model, it looked so sci-fi it was almost scary. But I think I got used to it.

I used an STL file that came with it, just as a test print. I haven’t tried printing something I’ve made yet.

Cool bit of kit and good luck in your travels.
I’d love one myself as I like games like wargaming and miniatures and that stuff is expensive but lots of interesting things in printing when it comes to terrain and stuff.
It’s a bit finicky from what I’ve read but hang in there and keep experimenting. It’s a cool hobby.
