I don’t think it’s quite the same thing. She was expressing contempt, Gordon Ramsay was expressing concern.
The French would probably say the British know f*** all about good food.
That is not what I got from it, seeing that we have good chefs who are Americans.
Even though Americans are not a homogenous peoples and are from all over we do still have some commonalities.
Americans of one culture can and do eat foods from others cultures without offering insult.
True, he’s probably making a false generalization based on his experience with crappy chefs in his kitchen nightmares program, where he has to deal with the worst. I’m not saying I agree with him, but I’m saying it’s not on the same level of spitting hatred and contaminating food like A grande.
The man has obviously never sampled regional BBQ in the southern U.S. Heavenly!
I quite liked American cuisine when I was there,but then I’m a culinary Philistine .
I think he was just confused by the person boxing a salad cause as a chef that has to be kind of frustrating.
Here in the States we have tons of restaurants.
Restaurants and supermarkets.
We waste a lot of food!
