Good clean fun?

now that im sober I got nothing to do. the only thing I like to do that doesn’t involve having a drink is travel but it’s expensive. really I need something to do once or twice a week to make my days go by pleasantly. I hike on the weekends, listen to music in the evenings during the week, but still something is missing in my life. don’t know what?

what do you do for entertainment?

When I’m not at work or in bed, I pretty much always have music playing, be it on my little stereo or my computer. I go to concerts, but that’s only a couple of times per year. I don’t have any hobbies.

I meditate. Feels good and doesn’t bore you if you do it right.

Sam’s Club sells $2 hot dog combos. Do you like to read? You can go there and sit and eat and read

Volunteering is a good one.

my mom is an avid reader but I have a hard time getting into it. I think I need like topics that I can research and delve deep into.

yeah I got a ps4 thinking video games would keep me entertained but I lost interest in them after a week. maybe I was playing dumb games. I gave it to my nephews, they’re all about video games.

There’s so many different sorts of videogames to try. For example shooters like halo and call of duty bore me to tears but simulator games like harvest moon or the sims I can play for hours at a time.

never heard of harvest moon, I like sims. I was thinking I may like that forge of empires that’s being advertised on tv.

I used to really like the game age of mythology when I was younger where you would build ancient civilizations and could have mythical heroes and monsters to command in your armies. You may also be interested in the civilization games.

Harvest moon, story of seasons, and Stardew Valley are all very popular farming simulators. The latest harvest moon games have been garbage so don’t get anything recent from them if you do, but the others are good. The Rune factory games are also excellent in my opinion and mix farming with RPG things like making weapons, fighting monsters in dungeons, etc.

I read, go to thrift stores and do what they call retail therapy, collect books, listen to music, play guitar.

Oh, and talk on this forum.

I recently got a pretty awesome book, “Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind.”
