Is it too early to buy winter wear?
I really want to replace my Gilet. I’ve put on a lot of weight since I got it and I need a bigger size. However all the gilets I can find don’t seem to have hoods on them, which I think I want as I mainly wear it when it looks like it could rain, but isn’t actually raining.
I feel like fashion seasons are meant to start a couple of months early, but the ones I found are all heavily discounted as if they are last seasons’. Maybe gilets aren’t as fashionable atm???
What, pray tell, is a “gilet”?
A sleeveless jacket. Really useful in autumn and spring when the weather changes really fast. They keep your core warm, but your arms are obviously not insulated.
Gilets are quite trendy now Go for the purchase I’d say
maybe you’ll have it at a smaller price now. It’s really common to buy clothes earlier, for the later season, don’t worry
Ah, sounds like what we call a “vest” in the States.
Those are very stylish, especially puffy ones such as this:
A gilet or body warmer is a sleeveless jacket resembling a waistcoat or blouse. It may be waist- to knee-length and is typically straight-sided rather than fitted; however, historically, gilets were fitted and embroidered. In 19th-century dressmaking a gilet was a dress bodice shaped like a man’s waistcoat.
try a lightweight hoodie. That ought to work.
Yes that’s it exactly. Here (UK) a “vest” would be like an undergarment you wear on your torso as a layer under your shirt/tshirt.
That’s a cool design I wanna find something fun like that and not too boring and plain.
Thanks for the info, @jayster
Going to Google this “gilet” thingie now.
Vests/gilets are super cool .
I just searched for “puffer vest” on Google and got a tonnnnn of stylish options.
I’d say price-wise, it’s about to be vest season, so you could potentially be paying close to full-price for one soon. Summer is probably the best time to score deals on Fall/Winter apparel.
Let us know what you end up getting
Lol, will do I’ll send a link when I find a design I really like.
Found one thats okay design wise, but no hood.
