Could be in my head then. I thought I had dementia at the time. But it could have been pushing my cognitive abilities to the limit.

Cognitive deficits in schizophrenia are present, to a certain degree, since early childhood.
That’s the case if not always then often.

I had no cognitive deficits before all of my psychotic breaks happened. I was in all honors classes in junior and senior high school. I got straight “A’s” in college until nursing school, where I graduated with a 3.0 G.P.A. It wasn’t until I had experienced years of very bad paranoia and delusions that my cognition started going into decline.
