Forum Issues

All ,
The volunteer moderators were as surprised as the forum users about the recent unexpected forum issues. We have been in communication with @SzAdmin trying to work out the situation (it has to do with the hosting fees for the forum).

Note that the reason the forum is back in regular mode currently is because the Discourse Team graciously decided to put the forum back into regular mode through the end of September to give the volunteer moderators time to work with @SzAdmin to resolve the forum hosting fee issues longer term. We cannot promise that we will be able to resolve this long term but we are working on it.

I would like to thank the Discourse Team for the tremendous help they have been during this difficult and unexpected situation. They have gone above and beyond!

I’m willing to help out financially. If its a money issue, im positive that multiple members would be willing to pitch in a little bit of money to keep the forum up and running.

Can a donation page be set up so people who can, can contribute to the cost? I dont think anyone wants to see the site go down.

If you guys put up a donate button I’ll donate. It’s worth it to keep the site running.

I’ve managed to get my life back on track in many ways since joining 5 years ago and this site is a big part of my support network in doing so

SzAdmin needs to start a go fund me page. Im confident we can reach 400 dollars a month.

That would be more than enough. I’m assuming it costs about 100 dollars a month.

I think 1 dollar from each, a month would fetch atleast 400 dollars a month.

As it shows the active users are about 400

Is 400 dollars a month the actual cost?

I think if they have a donation system that shows the progression of raised funds it should be easy to keep the site up. Some may not be able to donate, and that’s understandable, while others may be able to contribute more.

I would have no problem donating 4-5 dollars a month, for example.
