Anyone tried trileptal? I think that’s what it’s called. One of my friends was recently put on it. I don’t know anything about the medication myself and know few treatments for bipolar other than lithium and valproic acid.

A few years back the psychiatrist said the wanted me on a anti epileptic (I believe a mood stabilizer) and a anti psychotic and something else I forget.
I imagine it’s similar to what someone with sz would take

Honestly the doc put me on EPival for bipolar and it didnt work for me at all. I stopped it 2 weeks ago and had a lot of symptoms. Hope it works out for you.

Trileptal is basically Tegretol, they are related.
Trileptal is OK as a mood stabilizer, it does not have as much side effects as Tegretol but it’s also not as potent.
