For people who volunteer/volunteered

How long did it take them to get back with you after you after you applied? This is the second one I looked at and its been about 4 weeks.

It was a long time ago, so I don’t remember for sure, but it was definitely less than four weeks. That seems like an awful long time.

Could you contact the volunteer center and tell them they haven’t got back to you or contact them directly and. Politely tell them you haven’t heard from them

The most recent one I’m doing right now they told me I got it the same day that I went to the interview. The first one I applied to after getting schizophrenia I didn’t get because I don’t think they wanted me and also because they asked for references and I didn’t have any. The other one last summer I don’t remember

Yeah, maybe if they’re open Sundays I can do it tomorrow.

I would do
Good luck with your volunteering
It will do you a lot of good

It really depends on where you’re volunteering. One place wanted me to start as soon as possible, but I also plan on volunteering for the NHS for adults with learning difficulties and I have to do 3 days of training and have a few meetings with the volunteer coordinator before I can start… There are a lot of hoops to jump through.

Four weeks is usually the maximum time to be waiting for a response after the deadline. In the UK. I’d suggest calling, emailing them…

I honestly don’t remember but I think I was almost immediately contacted after applying to my most recent volunteer job. As a matter of fact, I didn’t approach them. They approached me with an offer and I accepted.

Maybe I should wait to call them. If they say it was a mix up and want to meet next week or something, that’s not a good idea as I have had terrible insomnia and even had to skip my mom’s birthday trip to a national aquarium.
