Not this past Thanksgiving, but the one prior to that, the topic of the Bee Gees came up while me, my sister and my son were all discussing our taste in music. Everyone was sort of luke warm about the Bee Gees and I said “I’m just not really a fan of falsetto”.

My sister said something to the effect of well they do other stuff, it’s not all falsetto disco. I was like yea but meh, they’re just not to my taste. She got a little spark in her eyes and said I bet they have a lot of good songs.

Here it is a year and some change later and my sister is a super fan and has infected everyone she knows. If you meet her on the street, you’re going to go away with the curiosity to try to look at some of their less popular music and an education about their true success. I’m not by any means super fan status, but I love me some Bee Gees. In fact, some of my very favorite songs of all time are Bee Gees songs. They are that talented. A blues song “Bury Me Down By the River” has very quickly become one of my all time faviorite songs as if Dylan himself wrote it.
