Food for thought

Good fun easy life until about 22 years of age
Diagnosis sz and shock
Shame, embarrassment and isolation
Given a med to take
No job, no school and no volunteer for 20 years.
Stopped taking the meds
Hospitalized again
New meds
New life
Slowly started the recovery process
Back to part time work
Started working out again
Feeling more confident
Learned the recovery process
Back to work full time
The recovery process started making sense
Hope, choice, recovery environment, purpose and empowerment
Found a lovely woman and settled down
Life is good

I feel I have made a lot of progress over a long period of time. There are some problems that have stayed with me for the last few years. Like trouble awakening and recurrent periods of depression that now come and go. Lately I feel good a few days and then bad for a few hours.

My life was pretty good, fun and easy until about a month or two after I turned 21.
