I lost my professionalism and fine motor skills due to Invega. Will I get them back on Abilify injections? If not will I get them back if I go off meds?
I lost them on Abilify too. I don’t think its the meds. Its the sz. Idk if they will come back.
I think it has to do with dopamine. Dopamine is used in movement.
I became less good in video games since getting psychosis. My KDR went down from 1.87 to 1.28.
I went from pro to slightly less than average.
It’s the dosage of the medicine that matters
Better fine motor function was correlated with less-severe negative symptoms ( r = − 0.49, p < 0.001) in the total sample.
These findings raise the possibility that the examination of fine motor skills development using repeated pegboard assessments with younger children might facilitate early identification of at-risk individuals.
Based on evidence from the cross-sectional studies of motor performance among at-risk youth and prospective and retrospective longitudinal studies of individuals with schizophrenia, we hypothesised that, during adolescence, FHx and ASz children would display deficits or delays in their development of fine motor skills relative to TD youth.
A meta-analysis of cross-sectional studies reported impairments (effect sizes of moderate magnitude) in fine motor and coordination skills from infancy through to adolescence among individuals with a family history of schizophrenia relative to those without (Burton et al., 2016).

Thanks, that explain my loss of fine motor skills.
Fine motor control has something to do with dopamine system. It can also come if you have low thyroid level too so its worth checking your thyroid level.
Don’t stop your meds please… With a bit of training, you’ll get them back eventually
Me, i had for years a very bad motricity too, i was clumsy, not controlling my body, but in my case its my schizophrenia… My doc said, that if one day my meds will start to work better on me, i’ll get better on my motricity too. The most of the things are in our mind
…
Don’t lose hope, its not a big deal
