Finding the meds incredibly difficult to take

When was the last time you had a blood test?

Around 6 months ago. All norm except for vit d.

You say you’ve been in remission for 5 years, but you had one episode. That doesn’t sound like ā€˜cured’. How long ago was the ā€˜one episode’. That’s how long you’ve actually been in remission.

Or did you mean you had one episode only, and then none after that? Either way, there ain’t no cure for schizophrenia.

Plus I need a sub-therapeutic-abilify-buddy! I’m on 5mg right now, and if it works out as well as it has for you, I’d feel like I’d won the lottery to be honest.

If you still want to see what life is like without an anti psychotic, but don’t want to go through withdrawal, get your doctor to prescribe 2mg. 2mg on its own is nothing more than a placebo.

That way you’re doing it with the cooperation if your doctor, and avoid withdrawal.

Keep a stash of your 15mg pills that you split to get 7.5mg physically with you in the house so you can go back on them quickly.

I wish I could tell you that. I think remission is about the best we can do. I’m not going to try to tell you what to do, but getting off the med’s has never worked for me.
