Finch app for motivation

Was it @anon4362788 who recommended Finch to help with motivation? I just gotta say thank you. It’s been so helpful and fun!

This is my birb:

I make goals, every day, in the app. I feel more motivated to get things done, because I want to check it off my list and get rewarded in the game.

For anyone unfamiliar: You raise a birb from baby to adult, you can unlock items to dress them up, you can unlock furniture and other stuff to decorate their home, you can unlock different colors to change your birb’s appearance, you can unlock pets for your birb, you can make goals (either choose from a list of recommendations or create your own), and there is a themed event every month to get brand new exclusive items!

The more you do IRL, the more rewards you get! And it helps you to grow your birb!

Here’s a link if anyone wants to try it! It seems to only be on Android, but not sure.

How does the app check you’ve actually completed stuff IRL ?

You check it off manually in the app. You have to be honest. So, if you didn’t do the goal, you shouldn’t check it off.

Yeah, so aren’t you ever tempted to cheat?

I am all against cheating of course, but if you start craving those virtual rewards, you might give in

I haven’t cheated on it. That would completely defeat the entire point of using the app. It’s not just a game, it’s a mental and physical health assistance app. People don’t download Finch purely because it functions as a game.

This is straight from Google Play, the description for Finch: “Mood journal, habits, self care tracker, self-love…”
