I decided I wont be taking this drug. It raises blood pressure and my blood pressure is high as it is.
Does it cause hypertension? That’s not good

@Green @Rainstorm I don’t think it’s a common side effect. Not everyone will necessarily have that side effect.

I meet with my psychiatrist this coming Wednesday. I will be pushing for a change to Cobenfy. I’m sick of the weight gain. Hopefully he will approve and my insurance will cover it. If not, I will have to push for Wegovy.

I haven’t seen any reviews online for this drug. Every other AP has reviews. It’s been a few months so there should be something? Do you have to sign an NDA to take it?

Here I found 2 testimonials on Reddit. One uploads his experience with cobenfy daily. The drug went on sale 1 week ago, so there are very few testimonials.

The EMERGENT-5 trial evaluated COBENFY’s long-term safety and efficacy in 566 adults with stable symptoms on prior antipsychotics. At week 52, 30% of participants had a ≥30% reduction from baseline in the PANSS total score. The discontinuation rate due to TEAEs in this trial was 18%.
Additionally, COBENFY was not associated with weight gain, movement disorders, or metabolic changes over the 52-week treatment period. In-trial interviews from the EMERGENT-5 study also revealed that most participants reported Quality of Life improvements across physical, social, emotional, and role functioning domains.

At six weeks, most participants described experiencing a high level of satisfaction with COBENFY as compared to their prior antipsychotic treatment, which was sustained for up to six months of treatment. Participants also perceived improvements in symptoms of schizophrenia and QoL while reporting little burden associated with treatment as important contributors to their satisfaction. At six months, nearly all participants (93%) indicated that they would recommend COBENFY to a friend of family member, and 78% reported that they would continue COBENFY after the trial if given the option

I meet with my psychiatrist today at 6PM. I am very excited to hear his thoughts on giving Cobenfy a shot. Even if I don’t qualify, the future for ap meds is very bright!
