It’s on the “common questions” page
Interesting stuff thanks for pointing that out.
I think the definition of an antipsychotic is a medication that acts on dopamine receptors. Cobenfy does not do that. Cobenfy acts on muscarinic receptors, so, by definition, Cobenfy is not an antipsychotic.
I’m not sure, but maybe this is why the Cobenfy website says that Cobenfy is not an antipsychotic.
the company selling it bought it for 14 billion dollars from the company who invented it. the company who invented it spent 355 million on trials and development just in 2023 alone. that is why drugs are expensive. high costs to invent them and there arent many of us who will be taking it.
I didn’t know that. That’s mega money
it is going to release today in pharmacies dont it? please share if someone going to take it
I’m trying to get prescribed.
it is expensive dont it?
I totally agree with you
There are a lot of side effects with the new drug to
$1,850. Yes, it is starting to be sold in pharmacies today.
Thanks, I think i was coming at it from the angle of someone who is already taking an AP
but maybe for a person who is just diagnosed to try on a med for the first time it would be safer (in theory)
Yes. I think my insurance covers it.
I would call Conenfy a muscarinic. It acts on murcarinic receptors as agonist and antagonist.
Im hoping its going to be better then clozapine! i still have some symptoms on cloz
I asked my psychiatrist about cobenfy, he was already aware of the medication. But he says he wants to see if it is safe long term, so I will have to wait longer for him to prescribe the drug.
Have any of you actually been on this med I didn’t really look at much of the posts but this seems to be talked a lot about
Again as I already said my meds work and I’ll take em till they don’t I’m just shocked at how many people are talking about it clearly it works well
There are a lot of people waiting for cobenfy because current antipsychotics have very annoying side effects, such as sedation and weight gain and diabetes.
I saw 3 or 4 people already on the forum who said they were going to try it. But the drug only started selling on October 25th.
Yeah I will give you that side effects suck now you got me a bit more interested what are the side effects
Does it cause TD or akathesia
I’m still gonna stick to what works for me as I’ve said but if I start getting side effects it might be one I’ll mention to my doctor
It took 7 years to find a med combination that worked for me I don’t wanna go back to the way it was and this med might not work
Judging by how I react to meds it would surprise me if it DID work
Does not cause involuntary movements cobenfy
