Fat groundhog

just saw my adopted pet under the garden shed. a fat groundhog. it’s not starving, that’s for sure. I fed it twice, once mixed veggies and the other time corn.

if it’s going to be here I don’t mind it under the garden shed. but a couple weeks ago it was getting below the house by the air conditioner unit. that’s a no no. if that keeps up I will have to have it removed.

I catch it out of it’s borough a couple times a month and it just runs for safety when it sees me. if I stand there quietly for a couple minutes it will assume it’s safe to come out again, and will poke it’s head out…haha.

thought I’d share.

that’s its layer. maybe one day i’ll be able to capture a picture of my pet out of its borough.

I’ve noticed they get active about 6pm. they come out looking for food.

Have you given it a name? How about Steve?

haha steve it is.

We used to have a local squirrel we named Victor who liked to come up on our steps. We also let a pair of squirrels hide from the rain in our garage once. Nowadays we have black squirrel, who lives in the trees in the backyard of the house we’re living in. The grey squirrels often chase him away. Can squirrels be racist to each other?

I can’t remember the last day I herd about the groundhog and their day of coming out. They supposedly announce spring daylight saving time right
