Falafel is a dish from which country

While i used to work in the US i ate a lot of pizza and falafel in NY.

the pizza made me fat but falafel was very nourishing and no getting fat from it.

I know pizza is an Italian dish.

Falafel originated in Egypt.
Egyptian falafel is made out of fava beans but in other Middle Eastern countries like Syria, Israel etc… its made out of chick peas.
