Facing your demons 👹😈👹

Switched meds and now I’m getting some of my delusions back for a visit.
Being psychotic sucks.
I had easily handled it when I was young but now it’s just too much of a hustle.

Have you guys had relapses ? what were your experiences ?

Based on my experience of my life, I would say I’ve relapsed twice after well periods (without medication, though, this was when I was growing up). Each was worse than the last. I’ve been actively psychotic for about a year and a half now, and it’s been very resistant to medication.

Edit: I’m 23, for reference on time periods.

If you’re on a new med, don’t give up on it eventually working. Take it daily and gut it out. It took over two months for my Vraylar to kick in, and at that, it was one step up and two steps back all the way. But in the end, the med will work. If not, you try another one. It takes time and a lot of patience.

I lost count. I lost insight every time. It sounds like you still have insight though.

Are you on a theraputic dose of your new med?

Currently switching to clozapine from invega and going through hell right now. Hopefully in a few weeks it will be worth it.

5mg of Aripiprazole, from 5 Olanzapine cold turkey switch
Guess it’s not a therapeutic dose as your title says haha

Also 10mg is the target dose for Olanzapine.

I’m a sensitive guy :expressionless:
