Hello. My name is Alex and I’ve been living with schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder and depression for 12 years. I have been able to live on my own in an apartment for 8 years. Usually I live on social security disability benefits. I received a notice today, April 27, 2017 that my benefits have been suspended due to my earning $50 to $150 in earned wages per month. I’m fairly certain that I can resolve this issue by June, but in the meantime I could lose my apartment if I don’t pay my rent, as well as all my other tools I use like my phone, car insurance, internet, credit card payment. I have set up a fundraising page where donations may be accepted. Thank you for reading and any help is appreciated. Thank you. Here’s the link:

if my ssi ever gets cut, it’s likely the homeless shelter for me. that’s why I don’t buy too much material stuff.
I live quite a humble life.
Not only is it very callous, but it is very misguided for them to stop your check because you’re making a little bit of money. It’s a disincentive to work. Do you have a caseworker, or family backing you up? If you become homeless you won’t have an address to send mail or a phone for people to call you on. You need someone to take your calls and your mail for you. Do you have friends or family you can live with? If not, I hear that homeless people are sleeping in the Wal Mart parking lot these days. It’s probably the best alternative in a bad situation.
lawyer might help too. much people here recommend getting a lawyer.
Thank you to all who donated. I was able to find resolve to my situation through other means. The campaign has ended. Thank you very much.
we want our money back then!!!
lol lol just kidding. I hope it’s a good resolution. move in with family?
well regardless, it’s good that the issue’s resolved.
Can one have schizophrenia and schozooaffective disorder at the same time?
No. Diagnosis of either requires excluding the other
Times can be tough. I was once forced to survive for one year with no income.
My Visa cards became my new source of money. I eventually paid the cards back.
I also had to spend only $2.00 a day on food during that year.
Everything other penny went to pay the rent.
Glad to hear that you got out of the rut.
that’s still rough, dude, even if inflation. that’s 3 times less than me now, excluding free random dinners from mom.
Get a load of this woman. WOW. Tough times, but a nice car.
I saw this on YouTube just a day ago.
I just have to laugh.
