Excited about the stimulus package coming

I think if you are married you only get one check but I don’t know…I’m not married so we are both expecting checks…

On the news earlier they were saying it’s possibly per household and depends on your means and family size.

I’m afraid they’ll cause me to go over the SSI asset limit. It’s ridiculously easy to do. I may have to set up a ABLE account or turn it over to the owners of this group home if it’s too much (or do a lot of online shopping). I have no life, and don’t smoke or drink so I usually spend it conservatively. I hope those who work get the full amount though.

I spent the stimulus money already. When the money comes in i pay some of the credit back. Here we go, most of the money go straight into the banks. A shift from government money into the private banks.

It would be more appropriate to stimulate public healthinsurance.

Some economists say that there might be a global depression in the future. Stocks have lost more than 30 % of their value and there is no end in sight. Markets have not been excited about this stimulus package and this coronavirus crisis may last much longer than expected.

I think the collapse of the economy is a good thing. It contributes to slow down climatechange.

I agree that the climate change is a big threat, I am worried after seeing pictures of the polar bears trying to find food from garbage because they can not hunt their food as usual in Siberia.

Don’t count your chickens before they hatch, @jukebox.

We don’t know how the checks will work yet.

Every person may not get a check.

One news article said only taxpayers will get a stimulus and another article says all Americans will get a stimulus. I’m just plain confused.

If us with a disability income get a stimulus that would be great but I’d rather see people out of work with families get a stimulus.

I agree.

The benefits should go to those out of work because of the virus,

Not those who will receive a check regardless.

Oh it’s utter chaos!

I’m reading different things on all major news sites.

I just hope they reach an agreement today.

@GoldenRex is right, @jukebox. I don’t know where congress is in the proceedings but some people may get as little as $600. Some people may not qualify for anything.

Supposedly it works by 2018 and 2019 tax return. People that had at least $2,500 in taxable income claimed will get checks starting at $600 plus $500 per qualifying child.

If you didnt file taxes or had less than $2500 taxable income on 2018 or 2019 tax returns, you won’t get a check.

Democrats are trying to get the check to everyone but who knows.
