From my own experience…music can be extremely therapeutic… especially when creating it or expressing your feelings during psychosis and strong emotional states.
Mostly calms me down and lessens the importance of my fearful thought content. Channels your negative emotions into a positive too…

I remember fondly that a woman I babysat for was a music therapist. I baby sat her (and her husband’s) three boys twice a week so she could work as a music therapist at a nearby hospital.
This was during the summer right after high school.
