I was psychotic when I saw it. I didn’t realize he was. It was kind of a metaphor I thought for my own situation. It resonated with me a lot. It fed into my delusions too.

I’m in my therapist office waiting and the music reminds me of shutter island music.

I remember I was at my therapist office at the hospital I said “shutter island is kind of like what you guys do here”. She looked at me like “oh he’s crazy” but at the time I thought that look meant “oh he’s on to us” lol.

I saw it in theaters when it came out. It’s alright I guess, but it’s not a really easy movie to watch if you get triggered by stuff. A Beautiful Mind is the one I’d recommend that has a schizophrenic in it. There’s also Donnie Darko, which is somewhere in between the two.

But yes DiCaprio is a great actor, took him forever to win an oscar he has deserved since Titanic.

If you like creepy scary movies,

The film- (Girl In The Woods) 2016 came on the chiller channel a while back. It’s very creepy and strange. They took the chiller channel off directv, it was too gory anyway.
