It’s an international holiday, although I think it keeps its significance only in few countries now, including Eastern Europe.
Our tradition is to gather up, bring a barbecue and get drunk.

We have a public holiday in Queensland Australia this coming monday so no work for most punters not in service industries. There’s power in a union! Support the workers. I’d rather be red than dead…hmmm…might be considered political? hahaha.

We don’t know about Australian politics. In general people don’t care about politics of others countries. So you are safe
