I’m making an embroidery blanket for my mother-in-law and I’m getting closer to being done with the first design… It’s the first of many and I’m not done with it but here it is so far
Ooh it’s pretty. I hope she likes it.
@roxanna thank you
Very cool. Nice experience.
@Twialine Are you around? I would like your help with something.
@Leaf it’d be better if I was there to see it in person but from what I can see you have several ways you can do this…
Way 1) hot glue/super glue
Way 2) line it up at the bottom going from the back of the lamp shade (at the edge) poking through to the front down around the edge to the back side of the lamp shade going back through making sure the loop goes around the thread in between the gem stone clusters catching the thread and repeat being careful to keep everything spaced if that makes sense
Those would be my two ways of doing it if it was me or you could do both the hot/super glue putting it in place while you sew making it secure… I hope my instructions makes sense
It absolutely does make sense. Thank you so much. I hope you have a great day. And I like your blanket, it’s going to be so beautiful.
@Leaf oh good I was worried it wasn’t understandable… I read and edited the way 2 a total of 4 times! I’m really pretty sick to be honest but I’m okay… Thank you I’m not very religious but I’m good at colors… I gotta get new colors soon… The pattern is just the same photo over and over again… I was going to do the wings, light, halo, clouds, skin tone, lips, and maybe even the butterflies be the same colors as this one and change up the hair and dress colors what do you think?
It’s hard for me to visualize, but I do know that you should follow your gut instincts because everything you create is always wonderful. You have a great eye for creating. That’s why I knew I could come to you!
I like the embroidery @Twialine. I just started doing punchneedle embroidery again.
I hope she likes it.
@HollyHobby thank you I know it’s going to take a long time to finish
I’m so impressed you can do that! I wish I could
@LilyoftheValley YouTube is a great teacher but I do knot the thread before sewing and after I’m done just to make sure it makes it through the washing machine… I’ve done this embroidery stuff for a while now I know a lot of stitches but this is purely one stitch
You’re amazing @Twialine! Ever since I had my closed head injury I haven’t been able to follow diagrams or patterns. But I’m so happy for you that you can
@LilyoftheValley thank you, I’m sorry you can’t
