I grew up watching it during most of my childhood. It ran from about 1963 to 1971.
I play the theme song for “the ballad of Jed Clampett” on the banjo. I get a lot of laughs out of it when I sing it and then do the breakdown at the end. I always thought Elly May was really pretty.

I thought a lot about Elly May and Mary Ann and Jeanie when I was a young kid, before I even understood what sex was all about.

That is sad that she died, however The Beverly Hillbillies were a little bit before my time. I did watch (and enjoy) the movie, though.
