Howes and colleagues noted the clinically meaningful nature of these effect sizes, with a duration of untreated psychosis of four weeks predicting greater than 20% more severe symptoms at follow-up relative to a duration of untreated psychosis of 1 week.

Wow, both of those time frames seem short.

Could it be that if you get treated in one week it’s because you have family looking out for you and a medical system that is accessible, and that advantage remains.
