Hello
I come from Belgium
I suffer from schizophrenia
I also suffer from depression ( tired a lot of time, I want to do nothing )
In 2018 I had a treatment in a hospital with clomipramine
My mood improved rapidly, I was a little bit manic.
And now when I take again clomipramine, my mood doesn’t improve. I’m always tired and I want to do nothing again.
I’m looking for drugs with a effect on mood. I want to be euphoric.
Do you have any idea of treatments that make euphoric?
If a treatment improves my mood at a given time, it’s probable that another available treatment will improve my mood in the future.
What do you think of that?
I tried sarcosine with no effects, I tried fluoxetine and other ssri with no effects.
I want to be euphoric.
Depression meds don’t make you euphoric. They just balance chemicals and help improve your mood a little bit. Some people expect depression meds to make them feel like a happy go lucky person. This takes work. Changing your thinking. Therapy. There is no magic pill that will make you euphoric.
maybe you are not depressed and you suffer from negative symptoms of schizophrenia? and part of these symptoms is lack of motivation. if you take typical aps (first generation antipsychotics) this could worsen your negative symptoms. maybe changing to atypical antipsychotics (second generation) could help. also there is dopaminergic drugs that increases motivation but it could induce psychosis. i suggest you discuss this issue with your psychiatry doctor.
Hello
I don’t agree.
Clomipramine improved my mood and I felt euphoric, I had the same feeling with pregabalin.
It’s not true to say that no drug make you feel euphoric.
Hello
I take atypical drugs ( paliperidone).
It’s probable that there are negative symptoms of schizophrenia.
What to do with negative symptoms like lack of motivation?
I want to be euphoric.
Clomipramine improved my mood and I felt euphoric.
So it’s possible that my mood will improve with assays of other drugs
part of negative symptoms is lack of motivation that you feel lazy and dont want to do anything just laying in the bed also you can try other potent norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor like Reboxetine or atomoxetine the last one at low dosage (10mg) daily helped me a little bit to be more active and didnt induce psychosis . also if you want to get high and euphoric there is available dopaminergic drugs but as i said it could induce psychosis.
Also I took Wellbutrin and there is no effect on my mood.
Which drugs confer some euphoria?
Clomipramine gave me a lot of energy all the time I took that.
What drugs give some energy?
Antidepressants?
I’m tired all the time and want to do anything
Ssri make me anything…
Only pregabalin make me feel euphoric
But in the time it hasn’t take effect anymore…
What to do?
I want to be euphoric
Anything stronger then Wellbutrin will probably induce psychotic symptoms. It’s surprisingly easy to over do the stimulant when having scz. You’re goal shouldn’t be seeking euphoria is should be increased activation levels and improved mood. You’re much better off looking for things which improve negative symptoms. You’re description of seeking euphoria sounds like your are experiencing some level of anhedonia. Which is one of the negative symptoms in schizophrenia/depression. Obviously the above opinion is echoed by other posters.
L-tyrosine
Caffeine
L-thanine
Nicotine
Could help
These are things which popular in the nootropics community which I haven’t tried which might work but they are very experimental and could make you psychotic.
phenylpiracetam
bromantane
semax
From having develed quite deep into most of the legal dopaminergics I would still stand by Wellbutrin anyday. If you chasing anything strong that then you’re probably going to lead yourself down the wrong path.
Pregabalin is also known for pharmaceutical abuse. You state taking a TCA Clomipramine, made you manic. Edging towards euphoria will probably also make you manic. Likely other things that make you euphoric will also induce mania.
It sounds like you have bad negative symptoms like many of the rest of us. I asked for the same types of meds you did. The doctors have all firmly refused them, told me they would make my SZ worse.
It’s not possible to have the drugs you noticed. It’s in general illicit. Furthermore my psychiatrist doesn’t want to prescribe me.
Is it possible to have a drug or a nootropic with euphoric effects which continue with time?
Pregabalin is a good option to have euphoria. Nevertheless, there won’t be any effects with time.
What drugs can have an euphoric effect that continue with time?
