I drive. When I’m being followed I just try to lose them. I don’t speed though to lose them.

I got license age 23 I can only drive automatic
I tend only drive locally but I’m not a bad driver I do sometimes feel anxiety behind the wheel but I’m working on it

I drive,
But not too much.
Mostly to take my mother in law to doctor’s appointments.
I hallucinate regularly, but I’ve never had a problem driving.

My mother often told me the reason she believes I have Schizophrenia is from falling asleep while driving on the freeway going 75 mph and hitting a guardrail resulting in a rollover when I was 16 …
you really need to be certain that you are ok to drive and know when you are not, i passed my test 3 yrs ago now and i stopped my med once in that time but became unwell and i knew i couldn’t drive at that point, i had a rapid influx of symptoms and i am glad i didnt drive and struggled to get across the road from my car to my flat, i wouldnt want to put anyone in danger.

I got my license before SZA so I can drive but I’ve never been very good at it. Now I’m worse. I cant filter out things I dont need and get distracted super easily. I stay away from driving as much as possible for now. But I may get a car eventually just to drive around town.

I drive. It gives me freedom. Definately something to be excited about.
Unfortunately, I’ve had the experience of driving while in active psychosis. Not much fun. Luckily, I pulled over, locked my keys in my car and walked away. I’m well medicated today so my driving is not an issue.

Hell, I drove drunk all the time when I was 17 in the 1970’s before a DUI was as serious as it is now. I’ve driven on LSD, I’ve driven while high on crack, I’ve driven stoned, I’ve driven after shooting heroin. I’ve driven while heavily sedated from prolixen. This was long ago but I did OK on all that so why should something like a little schizophrenia stop me from driving now?

ive driven with no problem, even when i thought the radio was sending me messages, and once a strange compulsion come over me to go in the opposite direction that i wanted to go.
