It’s the 50th anniversary of the death of one of our greatest Americans. Here’s a documentary about the last months of his life, and the last major campaign he worked on, the Poor People’s Campaign. The whole series is excellent - I highly recommend it.
I’ve spent this semester studying his career. I am so in awe of him, his bravery and his generous heart and his determination to make the world better for all who suffer.
Towards the end of his life, he worked to unite people of all races in a common fight against poverty. I feel sure he would fight for us, too, were he still alive to do it.
