I’m actually considering shelters and have looked around. I have also been looking for cheap rooms to rent, but haven’t found much.
Having two pets makes it hard. The one place I did find for us, they won’t accept me, because I’m on income support.
Tbh, I’m a ■■■■■■■ mess right now. Not thinking 100% logically.

What about boarding houses? No one likes sharing a bathroom but if it gets you a warm bed then maybe.

The place where you get meds should be able to help you out. The one where I live has apartments that are affordable for people on ssd or ssi.

I haven’t ever been in this exact situation but I feel for you. I watch this young woman on YouTube who decided to live in her car and travel with her money instead of settle down and get a home because it’s too expensive. She’s an artist and sells her sketches and bought a cheap car because she couldn’t yet afford a van. Maybe you can find something that you’re good at that can help you make money. I had to spend a few months homeless while I fled an abusive situation. Couchsurfing.com is a great resource for finding places to stay short term. It’s a house-sharing app where people invite travelers to come stay with them short-term. It’s free, but you’re expected to contribute by teaching your host a skill or cooking a meal. The whole point is to exchange cultures. Hosts will have reviews and references that you can check before staying with them. It’s not ideal, but it’s a good way to survive while you wait for supportive housing. You just have to make sure you’re a good guest, because your hosts will leave reviews on your profile, too.
