Does VPN = ban now?

If I’m logged in to the SZ forum on another tab but have VPN open for something else, will I be banned from the forum?

I’m not sure, but I dont think they are banning accounts. Just disabling logging in from vpns, or certain vpn ips.

We are currently experiencing an elevated level of false signups from AI-powered bots, with a large majority using VPN services. For this reason, the site security is now disabling logins from VPN addresses. If you use a VPN service, you may have difficulty logging in. If that happens, you can simply disable the VPN, and you should be able to log in again.

When I first created an account I could only use the site when I activated my account then I wasnblocked when I wanted to log in even though I wasn’t using a VPN

Yes. The software is adding VPNs as they are discovered. Users who persistently login with VPNs are auto-suspended. If you wish to avoid suspension of your account please stop using a VPN.
