Does anyone know how

To advertise a gofundme? I’m not posting it here for obvious reasons. I’ve sent it to my followers on twitter, and my friends on facebook.

It’s urgent to get help. Any ideas are appreciated. I’m going to be homeless at the end of this month.

I wouldn’t count on the gofundme thing. I’d start to make other plans. Is there any friends or family you could stay with?

I agree with @everhopeful,

You need a good contingency plan,

Gofundme isn’t something to count on.

No. My parents are deceased, my brothers are out of state, and my stepmom can’t help. Most of my friends are on disability benefits and can’t help, either.

Thanks for the kind words. If you think of something, please let me know.

Ask them to help financially ? You might have to swallow a bit of pride but it’s better than being homeless. You’ve nothing to lose by asking them and they might be able to.

Are you on any government programs? I haven’t been following your troubles but can you do Section 8? Do you have a county social worker? Do you have a vehicle? Look into a gym membership that has showers to keep yourself clean. There are websites that ask for roommates… maybe there too.

Let us know when you get a chance how you are doing?

They say they can’t help.

I make too much for section 8 housing. I’m on ssdi. As soon as I’m homeless, I’ll have a case manager. Gym membership and roommate. … good ideas, thanks.

I’m trying. That’s why I brought it up here. I thought someone would suggest good things.

I have no pride. I’m in survival mode.

Thanks!

It is a long shot, but what about donating blood or plasma :thinking::thinking:

Is section 8 the same as Hud housing? I’m on ssdi and I get a subsidized apartment through Hud. I mean I pay more than the other people but I qualify at least for some subsidy

My thoughts, exactly. I checked into that. My labs are out of whack, and they won’t let me donate anything.

Great idea! Thanks so much

I called the housing authority. I thought subsidized was the section 8.

I’ll call tomorrow and check. Thank you. Great idea!

How sick are you?

What about a group home or assisted living type place? Medicare might pay for it.

You can always rent a room in someone else’s house. I think @Ninjastar did some couch surfing or something but I don’t think that would be very safe for a single woman and should be a last resort.

Do you not qualify for Medicaid? If you qualify for Medicaid you automatically can get a case manager who can help you. What’s going on? I don’t know your story. Are you having trouble affording your housing? Are you sick beyond sz?

I have gastroparesis and GERD they caused me to be malnourished. My labs are not normal. I have an appt with my gdoc tomorrow. I have a potential neurological illness. I see him on the 11th.

I feel like I’ve aged twenty years over the 2018 and 2019 timeframed.

Thanks for caring. Sometimes, I feel like I’m all alone.

Is there anyway you could cut back on expenses? Such as move to a place with less expensive rent? I dont know if you make a car payment but trade it in for something less expensive?

Maybe try to rent in shared living space
With cheap rent. And minimize all possible spending

Tenncare… they took me out of it based on income. Care management. … the same.

I havery mi, hbp, diabetes, gerd, Gastroparesis, and this new neurological problem. I can barely walk. Last weekend, our community had a yard sale. I was physically unable to take the stuff out.

I had a serious water leak. Someone recommended by the property manager charged me an arm and a leg. He didn’t fix the problem.

It turns out that the hot water line was leaking. My water bill and electric bill were super high for 3 months. HUNDREDS of dollars each.

I got assistance where I could. I borrowed the rest. Now, they are back to normal. The loans are what’s doing it.

I thank you so much for trying to help.

Ok. You’re in a real bind. I have one thought that probably won’t work but it’s worth a try. Can you get a job one day a week at like a Kroger as a cashier and sit on a stool while you do it? It’s my understanding the Kroger near me hired a guy with sz who talks to people who aren’t there during his shift and they keep him there. Or another place that hires disabled people one or 2 days a week just to get over the hump
