Does anyone here think thier family history caused SZ?

There is a history of abuse in my family. I have read that abusive childhood environments could contribute to developing SZ later in life (although this is only one of many possible factors). Does anyone else think abuse is directly related to thier diagnosis? Are you angry?

I think my abuse fed the flames of my sza cause ptsd and schizophrenia together oooh boy it’s a fun combo.

In a long range i could say my familylife caused my sz but my familylife was caused by the world.

This whole world is very very broken.

I was szphrenic due to environmental factors…

I think abuse can be related to it. I think it’s nature and nurture. I was abused mentally and believe that it contributed. I’m not angry anymore. I also think it is environmental

Circumstances had led me to abused myself to stay exceptionally productive.
It was a combination of a huge ambition and a considerable difficulty to function.
a quote from my blog at the time:
"I will break my hands to get rid of the chains that hold me
and tread on every man who will try to stand in my way.
I’m not going to give in to anyone and especially not to myself."
I were insanely savage :wolf:

Both my maternal uncle and aunt, my grandfather(mother’s father), suffered from Schizophrenia. My doctor says I got it from them, a genetic factor.

My mother contributed a lot to my increasing paranoia and delusions when I first got sz bcuz she was into spiritual stuff heavily and spoke a lot about demons etc till it freaked me out. But I think the predisposition to get sz was there all along even without my mom’s influence. She and all the other stresses in my life at the time (like senior high final exams etc) just pushed me off the edge I was already on.

I was put through a lot of abuse as a child, and I think it contributed to my symptoms of depression and paranoia. Overall, though, I don’t blame my sza on that, at least not much of the blame. When I read the thread title I was thinking it was going to be about family psychiatric history. My parents both were bipolar, I am bipolar-type schizoaffective, so I think genetics played a greater role than the childhood trauma.

Yes, my dad’s history of undiagnosed sza caused my diagnosed sza.
