Does anyone here have both schizophrenia AND parkinsons?

I know antipsychotics work against dopamine when you take them so ive been wondering if my genetic test is a little too correct i was hoping God would give me some slack in my disease genetics but i did have the parkinsons and multiple sclerosis genes along with like celiac and all kinds of stuff…

Are the antipsychotics im taking paralyzing me?

I’ve had antipsychotic induced parkinsonism (I think) in the past. Drug induced parkinsonism. DIP. I may still have it.

I think by looking after our general health physically and psychologically,

I think it may help reduce risk of nasty diseases.

When i think about moving to clean something its like that part of the brain isnt even there. Like im being held in place with tight chains or latches unless i take dopamine increasing caffeine beverages

Yea I used to have it bad like that. I’m still not fully recovered either thou.

Can’t read a book for instance even thou I want to

Talk to your pdoc about it, if they are available. Sometimes I think I am getting Parkinsons. I’m seeing tracers of things I look at. I’ll glance at a corner, and I will see traces of a cat in it. This kind of thing is happening fairly often. I’m also getting very forgetful. I’ll get up to do something, and I’ll forget what I was going to do.

Sorry to hear man

It’s not bad, but I don’t want to spend the rest of my life helpless. Caplyta does some good things for me too. It’s a question of if I become alarmed enough about the Parkinson like side effects to get off that med.

Genetic testing just indicate risk in my opinion.

Do you have those movement symptoms? Verified by neurologist?

Might want to speak with psychiatrist. Few APs work as dopamine agonists. Are supposedly better for parkinson’s like thing.
