My 16 year old was ex with ADHD in kindergarten at school’s insistence. He wasn’t allowed back until on meds, we tried Stratterra back then 2 years of him hiding pills behind furniture because it made him puke at the school were ■■■■■■■■. Then went to Adderall…and then Ritalin. We moved when he was in 3rd grade so by 5th grade we made him stop taking it, his behavior and grades are honestly better. Not a great student, but at least he’s doing some work instead of spazzing out.

10th grade this year, hoping for a better year since pedo therapist is out of his life and he’s off meds for everything. We got a letter about a lawsuit from a company cause he was on Singulair for his asthma for years, and now kids under 18 can’t be on it as it causes psychosis. That’s a fun one now. We’ve decided now to hand over his records for a small payout. But made his current pediatrician aware of the letter and he looked it up, company is still telling pediatricians it’s ok to RX for kids. The letter said adults get that too from it, but are able to stop taking it on their own.

Yay for big pharma! Hiding all the stuff that makes kids worse! And this goes for brand name and the generic.

They said i might have it, and i thought so too for a moment, but actually…i dont think so. I didnt have these issues as a young kid.

They wanted to prescribe wellbutrin.

I have a close relative with late onset ADD. His ADD is so bad he can’t stick to any pill regimen.
