I need to talk to my doctor im scared i have this, a result of antipsycotics. If you dont have it then i can tell you literraly can not stop what it pushes you to do. Its intense and extreme, but it is a blessing also because dopamine is associated with pleasure despite the nonsense some might spew.
I cant tell my parents i might hav this. They wont understand they paid for my treatment.
I think the theory is if you are on antipsychotics for years, when you come off them your brain is supersensitive to dopamine. So you could get rebound psychosis.
Yes they can see under a microscope big increase in number of receptors. 
Just talk to your psychiatrist they can reassure you that you will be okay.
