I usually remove my shoes upon entrance to the house. I have a pair of “slip ons” by the side door that I put on if I am just going outside for a minute.
I don’t want shoes on my wood floors. Then track in water and other stuff that can be extra wear and tear. My house came with wood floors on the first floor.
I used to like wearing shoes in the house. Hated having to take them off for no reason. Been to other peoples homes where they asked me to take off my shoes. Started to get used to that and now I prefer that.
I need to be barefoot as soon as I get home. For comfort’s sake.
If my sister or dad comes over, they have physical needs for wearing shoes, so I don’t make them take them off, even though that would be my preference. My friends took them off when they were here to visit.
They just take shoes off automatically? Guess a giveaway might be if your entrance have a bunch of shoes by the door
Once I started taking off my shoes for myself. I never ask guest to take off shoes. But now if I ever do. I would ask them to.
I don’t take my shoes off until bedtime. I guess I’m weird. I allow others to wear shoes in my apartment.
No I used to be like that too. I think I used to prefer people not take off shoes in my place too. It was just a lot of work especially laced boots.
I find that people see the shoes by the door, see me taking off my shoes or barefoot, and then ask me what I’d prefer.
If it’s carpet… you gotta remove your shoes, if it’s wood or tile then no.
I have to be barefoot or else I’d not feel at home. In winter I wear slippers . Never my outdoor shoes (flip flops etc)
I live in a shared accommodation. No shoes allowed in the house. It’s great
I can’t believe so many people said “no shoes”.
In my life of 37 years, I’ve been asked to remove my shoes before entering the house exactly twice.
Seems like a surprising number of people prefer that,
Opposed to my experience.
Interesting.
I know that a lot of Canadians don’t wear shoes in the house, since I’m not Canadian I gladly wear shoes in my home
The Canadians here be like:
Shoes inside? Impolite!
I hate taking my shoes off at a house. If someone requores that, i try never to go back. Its just a weird preference for me.
We’re staying long-distance friends.
People who take their shoes off spread Verrucas.
I would let you wear shoes in my house. My response was mostly about how I hate to wear shoes in the house, and that when people see my shoes in the front, they always ask if they should take them off. I tell them to be comfortable and go ahead, but if they need to or feel like wearing them, I let them. I’m not a stickler for it.
Shoes and bra come off the second I come home from anywhere. I refuse to wear a bra in my own house.
She gonna eat yer braaaaainnnnnzzzz.
