I think it is doing things to get people worked up for fun.

I think it comes down to intent. Everyone can say anything that another person takes offense from. A troll does it consistently and often anonymously.

Posting things calculated to antagonize or upset people, generally because you get a kick out of it or just dgaf about how your actions impact others.

Today the term “trolling” refers the practice of posting inflammatory, off-topic messages in a mailinglist or a forum (usually anonymously), with the sole purpose of causing disruption and provoking a reaction of the other users.

Sometimes I’m mistakenly considered to be a troll because of me being an immigrant/expatriate/whatever and the language barrier and subculture tiny-speech-nuances that I don’t get so I get p*ssed for not being understood and that avalanches into a ban etc.

@NeuralPlay123 People need to have thicker skin online. A lot of nuances go uncommunicated online. People are sometimes too sensitive. I know because I’ve been that wimpy guy online who overreacts to what people said. I got better with age, though.

I know about trolls, but I never know I’m being trolled until I’m already riled up :sweat_smile:

But it takes a lot to troll me, I believe. Some people are easy to troll, say one politically incorrect thing and they fly off the rails.
