Do you think my photography is museum worthy?

Just a symbol that the photography is good. I want to be like Robert Frank and I’m not sure how to get there.

I know it should be just for enjoyment, but I also want to be well known. Kinda lame, I know.

Yea man, a lot of folks get their start in life with the right exposure. Art galleries are a decent place for that.

And also having a website or some form of social media should help as well.

Be prolific to start with. Be out there taking new photos every day.

Unfortunately I moved recently and there are many things to take good pictures with. I took a good one the other day. It was a run down shack. Other than that I haven’t found many photogenic things.

We share the same problem. Look at it a a growth opportunity. There are still good images to be made, but you’ll have to work harder for them and come at things from unusual angles.

They look professional.

It looks like photo books are still made. I have:

The Americans by Robert Frank
Guide by William Eggleston
Life is Good and Good For You by William Klein
In the National Parks by Ansel Adams
And London and Wales by Robert Frank

They probably just don’t make much money

Maybe for their estates. 3/4 are dead. The remaining one looks like he won’t be around much longer.

I’ve been trying to find a reasonably priced copy of Bresson’s “The Decisive Moment.” Can’t find it. The ones remaining are used and cost hundreds of dollars.

I thought photography went in art galleries? Museums if the photographer was super famous, maybe?

Photographs are no different from paintings. My local art museum has a lot of photos.

Based on my research you don’t need to be famous to get in a museum. You usually need an appointment with someone at the museum to check out your work.

Museums when they’re dead.

I think I misinterpreted what you said but why would a museum be dead if it had famous artists?

No, if you’re a photographer featured in a museum in my country you’re either dead or your work is highly politicized (meaning it has no merit, but the right people like it anyhow).

I see what you’re saying, thanks!

Pretty cool, I liked them alot!

Hi Photoguy, this is my favourite piece.

I like it. It has a cool atmosphere, quite effortlessly too. The black and white is suitable.

It reminds me of my worst days on abilify. Being homebound.
