She has grown on me. But I still harbour a grudge about her threatening me with forced medication years ago.
He seems nice. I’ve only met him twice as I got discharged for a long time. Gotta see him every 6 months now.
He tries his best. He’s not much help to me now
I now have a new psychiatrist since my previous pdoc retired.
I really can’t fully judge her just yet but so far I’m starting to get a sense that she doesn’t like to get emotionally involved with her psychotic patients.
I see her via telemedicine visits every 3 months for like 5 minutes each session if that.
When I contacted her by email the directions she gave me on how I should take my lowered Risperdal doses was nonsensical- didn’t make sense at all.
The initial evaluation with her lasted 15 minutes and she hastily diagnosed me with schizoaffective disorder bipolar type without really knowing me yet. Usually it takes psychiatrists weeks to months to diagnose their patients
Yeah I’m getting the strong sense that this doctor really doesn’t want to work with her patients.
She seems a bit lazy and dismissive
I’m seriously considering seeing a different pdoc
But I may give it some more time
And for some strange reason which I don’t understand, she won’t prescribe me 1mg risperidone tablets.
I think that because I asked for them she’s asserting some sort of control over me and refusing prescribing them
My psychiatrists are nice but I don’t like how they both said I need to take Invega injections for the rest of my life. Recovery is possible.
I am close with my pdoc…we laugh a lot…have been with her for over ten years.
I liked my old pdoc. She was really fun and pretty might I add. This new one I’ve only seen on a computer screen for five minutes at a time. Nothing really there but she does prescribe meds and will let me try stuff.
You found out the hard way that doctors do NOT like to be told what to prescribe nor what to diagnose. @Wave
