I used to be really into metal, especially some of the new doom bands.
It’s just so hard to find CD’s of good doom bands, even on Amazon.
But a lot of those type of bands got to me after a while. The lyrics were often too dark for me and nihilistic.
I still enjoy some Black Sabbath and Blue Oyster Cult on occasion though.

I love this one song by Megadeth In My Darkest Hour but afraid to post here because it is sorta dark and don’t want to trigger anyone. It doesn’t trigger me though.

I like some AC/DC songs too. They always struck me as a band that was more about having a good time. As opposed to a lot of modern bands who try super hard to be dark in their persona and lyrics.

In my younger years, I was a big heavy metal fan. Metallica, Tool, Alice in Chains, Godsmack, etc…
But, now, I’m more into classical piano and contemporary new age piano.

I like most of it as long as it’s quiet, smooth, calm and soothing and there’s no screaming.

Yes. Seen some crazy stuff in the past like Carcass and Boltthrower. Crazy thrash metal and death metal but always fun shows. Always found it interesting that people would sing along to serious metal. Funny as and the threat of those crowds back in the day was palpable. Still don’t mind the odd metal song.

Yob’s recent album has some ironically positive subject matter in it. It to is also super heavy. A couple of songs actually choked me up(in a good way). And if you like sabbath and b.o.c., budgie’s really good classic metal.
