Do you have a hard time believing certain things are possible?

What the title asks, this is a problem for me. Most days I push myself and I really believe this is limiting what I can do, or achieve. If this is something you suffer from please drop a line down below. I’m not sure if its schizophrenia or if it’s just the medication I’m on. Thanks

It’s schizophrenia and also the medication, but more the schizophrenia. We lose interest in normal things like aiming for long term goals and struggle to keep ourselves motivated for it because we can’t “feel” the success we expect to have. As far as meds go, they can make it harder to “feel”

You are not alone in thinking this way

Okay, that is a great answer and I thank you. I wonder if going off the meds would help with that… what do you think?. Oh and does this symptom of Schizophrenia have a name?.

Oh no no, that’s a terrible idea. I repeat; do not do it, terrible idea

Gotcha, I guess this thing doesn’t have a name, guess I will have to ask my doctor.

Oh, I am a repeat offender for doing this. It almost always ends in disaster. You will achieve the opposite of what you are intending, believe me.

Keep pushing yourself and the motivation and joy will mostly come back. It is tough as hell, but your life will suck worse if you don’t. Nothing about this illness is easy.

The only side effect that bothers me is sleeping so much, thats the only side effect that makes me hate medication. Seems like most of the medications for this condition have Drowsiness as a side effect (I read online and a friend told me).

Anyways, back to the main topic, I did a bit of googling and found a description of the symptom of Schizophrenia which is explained like this: “Difficulty with abstract thinking”, so far that is the best description of what I am experiencing.

I’m good with it now, but it took years of practice.
