Do you enjoy classic horror movies?

Like the horror flicks from the thirties with Bela Lugosi and Boris Karloff?

I love them. So much atmosphere, and I dig the black and white cinematography.

Sometimes, if they’re good. I really liked Alfred Hitchcock’s “Psycho”.

I haven’t seen really old horror flicks. Seen a lot of the hitchcock films though. I think the classic horror movies are less disturbing visually so they are ok to watch. The new horror movies are just too gory and disturbing to watch for me. I avoid them.

I think the oldest horror film I’ve seen is Salem’s Lot

Psycho is a great film!

@NotSeksoEmpirico, I recently ordered a Bela Lugosi/Boris Karloff film collection. And The Black Cat is one of the movies in it.

The older classics don’t trigger me like the modern day horror movies do.

I can understand. The older horror movies relied more on atmosphere and story.

I loved Vincent Price in The House on Haunted Hill.

Haven’t really explored many movies before then.
