LS! No no no never never never!!! It is all salt and transfats. I am working on my health every day.
I don’t eat chips very often, but my favorite are blue corn tortilla chips with salsa verde, both from Trader Joe’s.
@anon80629714. Are these called tortilla crisps in the UK?
Interestingly no they are tortilla chips
I love Doritos do you have those
I like the cool ranch Doritos, although they are a bit too salty for my taste.
Crisps are what folks in the UK call chips.
Here in the US we call crisps chips
And the UK peeps call french fries chips.
Has anyone tried In n Out cheese fries? They are so tasty!
@anon80629714 no tortilla chips/crisps?! None at all. Anywhere.
My favorite is Lays Sour Cream and onion.
In the uk , Lays is known as
WALKERS
SAME BRAND
Interesting fact
I like both. Both words are used out here in Oz for the packet crisps/chips or the potato kind…Chips not crisps. Just to add to the confusion.
I don’t make it a habit. But once in a while I’ll buy a huge bag of restaurant style tortilla chips and a big slab of cheese to make nachos.
Come on people.
These are chips
And these are crisps:
What happens when you have stale crisps that are no longer crisp? Do you have to rename them?
I think they’d have to be pretty stale to completely lose the crisp!
I still eat them if they have gone stale.
But no, we don’t know the answer to this. We need to page the Oxford English Dictionary people
We have a similar problem with fries in the US. We’re in the clear when fries are deep fried. However, when we oven bake fries, we have a philosophical dilemma, or really more of an existential crisis.
