I have two cats. My partner, the Dog Person, has two dogs. (We both kind of have all of them, but management responsibility is clearly delineated.)

My home is too short (32 square meters) for a pet which needs a territory : cohabitation would be hard 
We use odor blocking litter.

Yeah we only have a cat, but we’re watching a dog for a while as well. She uses the bathroom outside though, so we’re okay in that regard.

I have a rather large garden and my cat goes outside when nature calls.
I think you want too many pets at once @far_cry0. Just adopt one for now and see how well you can handle the situation.
