Disclosing sz/a to a potential employer

Oh, I only ever disclose face-to-face where I have an opportunity to provide a rebuttal.

Sometimes the employers might be working with the social welfare department of the country to offer more jobs to the mentally or physically disabled persons.
And I remember there is “assisted employment” in the US? (Of course I know you are from the UK)

The only time I disclose is on health insurance forms. That’s the only time it’s remotely relevant.

I disclosed twice and I didn’t get the job. Never disclosed your sz even the employers don’t have legal right to know it. The public are scared of sz since they thought sz patient would hurt them physically.

I have disclosed it to neighbors three of them so far and it has gone ok. They now I have schizophrenia and live with my parents and recieve disability.

I am good in my little field and always got a job I wanted UNTIL. The one day they had a special form that they said they were just taking statistics and wanted you to disclose disabilities on a separate form.

The interview went well and I had a lot of experience. It’s the only job I never got so I still say tell no one because you never know where stigma will be.

I got the last laugh because the company came to me for a test they could not do years later. it was a farther commute too.

I’ve only ever disclosed once and I ended up losing the job. It was my last. It was McDonald’s.

I only admit I’m on SSDI after a health problem years ago, things have improved a lot so I like to work. I only ask for accommodations – variable schedule to deal with insomnia attacks/denied refills of sleep aid for 5+ days sometimes due to state limits, ask to work at home as some workers go psychotic around we divorcees/mistresses who refuse so I need to work at home because I’m unsure why some coworkers are disruptive…usually only when I’m new to job very infrequently. (These males will try to get some fired later, so is bad oman…Some people would snap their own Momma’s neck. Same applies to anyone who would do a public display of disrespect, say ‘hostile work environment’ and talk to attorneys after update your resume.) Work in back away from the customers…Have a few times when you are swarmed by 10 customers/10 phone calls at same second in life/death job and no other staff will help, ask to work in back, hire more people or seriously you need to quit so you won’t be sued…Sadly, happens too often in some fields and need to be proactive to keep yourself okay as sleazy employers do look for scapegoats.
