Ok so I’ve been waiting patiently to get into housing but they still don’t call. So I’ve got this wild idea I’ll just go back to college and live in residence year round. But I’m on disability and already have a college education. So going back to college would be an exercise in recreation. After all if I’m on disability for SZ… I’m basically not of the ability to work… At least fulltime. I work part time as a paper boy but that would be basically child’s play. Has anybody else convinced the government to let them go back to school for a career that if diagnose is correct… Is… Well…Irrelevant. Damn I just wish housing would call. I think I’m going scatterbrained.

I went to school in the Winter, I had dropped out and had one semester left to complete. I was switched from disability to student loans, with a small loan and a bursary. I worked on my final project from Home and barely went to class, but I was able to pass both courses. As I was waiting for the time to leave my Home every day to go to school, I promised myself I would never try to do anything with my life ever again except smoke cigarettes, eat drink and sleep. I’ve got the total loser mindset now. I would love to try to work if I could, but I’m struggling with addiction so not a good idea atm. I’ve accepted that no matter how hard you try, problems will come and go and I’m trying to keep life as simple as possible. I’m glad I got my diploma, just tired of putting in work with no real benefits. Good luck on your journey!

I can’t work enough to support myself. I have Housing.
I’m in recovery from several addictions.
I figured I could support myself on 20 hours a week as a programmer, and had the Vocational Rehab start me back to school. But Life came up.

If you go back to school they may take away your money. I wouldn’t do it especially if you already have a degree.
Have you tried calling the housing people to ask them how your application is coming along?
I called twice. Once like a year and a half ago and again 9 months ago. They say in the housing report that people who do receive housing report improvements in all areas of life… Including mental health. So I called them to ask cause I have a mental health diagnosis and they told me it was ■■■■■■■■.
I am lucky that my housing situation is good. I think of going to make year 12 again just for the socializing. Wish i would know what to do with my life. My only problems are smoking and obesity.
I get a membership for the pool this week.
I know it sounds crazy but if I did graduate and am then deemed able work… So be it. But of course they would have to prove it which could be quite the process. If they’re right I’d be free and clear of disability but if they don’t I’d have disability to fall back on. I know everybody has homelessness and without a job fear but even those do have some supports here in Canada. I’d hate to think of those worst case scenario is keeping me from moving up.
