“I never thought about it.” At least it leaves it open for discussion. It’s better than getting annoyed.
I had a conversation with my niece about a year ago when she was five. It was New Years and her and her brother were staying over at my moms. All the stores were closed and she was getting philosophical asking what to do if you don’t have food and all the stores are closed. It was cool and kinda cute. I’ve definitely told either one of them I’ve never thought about it.
I always try to answer Qs from a kid as well as I can, unless it’s the sort of question that their parent should be answering (the “when you’re grown up” type mostly).
@TheSecondVariety do I remember you from years ago on the old sz forum. Your name rings a bell.
Yeah I found this site maybe around 2009. I was also using schizophreniafourm dot com back when it was going. I remember your handle.
Did you used to be a teacher @PinCushion?
Yes. I taught Yamaha Music School and gave private lessons.
@PinCushion I thought so - you so wise. I mean that!
I don’t have particularly good child interaction skills. I do remember going to the seaside (2018) with a good friend of mine and his children in a static caravan togather and that was really good time watching all his children have fun. Even though we didn’t drink like we normally do. It was nice.
Okay now how do you answer the question “why, why why why?”
Be specific, @POET
With kindness.
