Did anybody get the stimulus check yet

Got mine Friday or Saturday.
Already spent it lol.
Had a used guitar on layaway since the last check.
Took it out of the shop yesterday.
Right in time for my upcoming 51st B-Day!

No, I got a deposit for $1800 and another for $600.

Huh, wow. I don’t know

Weird, right? I can’t figure it out. But I’m scared to use it.

Maybe keep it on the side and then be ready to repay.

When you meet the criteria in Australia.

@LED you could always invest it in something easily liquidizable like a short term stock or something. Then if you have to repay it, you might have made a small profit in the meantime.

I have no idea how to do that. My partner’s ira is through Edward Jones, do I need to talk to them?

I just gave more stimulus $$$ away. The utilities company got some and my wife’s VISA card got the rest. I guess I must be stimulating to talk to.

Probably don’t want to put it in an IRA because you would pay a penalty for taking it back out. And if you use a fiduciary you need to pay a fee. But if you research a few promising companies you can invest short term and sell. I would probably honestly wait until the 22nd to invest, because the market tends to drop the first day a president is sworn in, and then krep it in as long as you can.

That’s way too much work. :joy::rofl:

Yeah lol it is a lot of work. I tend to invest in companies I know are working on something big. Mr. Star has a special interest in mining, so he researches mining companies for fun. Once he got real excited because one of the companies found a new deposit of some mineral or other and he told me how huge it would be for them. Then we were like “oh I bet their stock is about to go way up” and it did. Since my special interest is behavioral meds, I tell him when a promiaing one is about to be approved. I told him to invest in caplyta lile a week before it was approved.

@LED

If you’re married, and you and your husband’s combined total gross income is $150,000 or less, and you have two dependent children, you should receive $2,400.

Bitcoin is doing well right now. I bought an ethereum before it started spiking.

yes I got mine.

I just bought $600 worth of bitcoin. I was thinking about doing $300 in each bitcoin and ethereum, but decided not to bother. I still might buy some ethereum later, though. It’s doing really well.
