Developing moles with aging

i have 2 or 3 three small moles that have appeared in the last 10 years. they dont bother me but haven’t always been there. i think i inherited it from my mom who also had a lot of moles that she had lasered off. but they are under my clothes and not unsightly, i have one on my neck, one on my back and one little one my left wrist. i guess it comes with aging?

I have one under my beard on my face. I hope it is not skin cancer.

has it always been there?

I have a small one on my chest. Its harmless. I think maybe too much sun exposure does them.

No. It has appeared recently. They say one of the most telling signs of skin cancer is if the spot is irregular. My spot is irregular. My doctor said it is probably not skin cancer, though. It is light in color, and I think skin cancers are usually very dark.

I have many moles from birth. Big ones too. I have never had any problems. I also got some as life has gone on. There is something else also that i think is called “carcinoma” or something like that. It kind of looks like a mole, but they are actually blood veins that have made their way to the surface of the skin. Usually they start to develop in late 30’s or so. They are harmless, but can bleed if you scratch them. I got a few of those too.

I have one on my back, on by my nipple, one either side of my rib cage and another near my waist line.

They don’t bother me at all.

I am not sure if you can grow them as you get older.

Ask a GP if your worried

I have many moles. I have had them since childhood. Over the years I have had many removed to improve my appearance. A few years back I noticed a new mole that felt papery. It’s the only one I’ve ever had that felt this way so I had it checked. It was skin cancer. I had to have a large area burned off. My sister has her moles checked periodically by a Dermatologist to make sure they are still fine, it gives her peace of mind.

I have one developing. It’s a skin coloured one. It was never there before. I took a photo of it to see if it will change.

I had one on my lip two years ago. It developed very suddenly and since my mom had skin cancer many years ago they removed it. It wasn’t cancerous.
